This week, crews at the Bristol Quarry Landfill performed maintenance on the gas extraction system by inspecting and replacing hoses and fittings for the associated well heads. Pumps from the leachate extraction system that had been previously removed and rebuilt to improve efficiency were also reinstalled. And, more than 72 tons of soil (approximately 18 truckloads) were added to areas of the landfill to address settlement issues.
