Winterization activities continue at the Bristol Quarry Landfill to ensure all equipment is operating properly in the colder temperatures. Maintenance activities this week included checking the wellfield, replacing some field batteries, gas sampling, break down/cleaning/rebuilding of pumps, and adjustments to the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS). More soil is also being moved to address settlement areas at the landfill.
