Crews were on site all week, with the exception of Christmas Day, and staff is working diligently to review the collected GIS data to identify and address landfill trends. Workers continue to adjust the landfill’s various operating systems in an effort to capture as much gas and landfill liquids as possible. Odor complaints were up slightly this past week, which we believe is directly associated with the colder temperatures we’ve experienced. Normal maintenance operations also occurred this week - including blower/flare checks; breaking down, cleaning, and rebuilding of pumps; gas sampling; draining of condensate pumps; and well field readings.
