Due to efforts the previous week, odors emanating from the Quarry Landfill were significantly reduced this past week. Crews continue to add soil and modify the vacuum as needed. In addition to normal maintenance activities including sampling, pump rebuilds, and changeouts; installation of the temperature probes is ongoing. Troubleshooting related to probes that previously malfunctioned or failed also continues.
