An increase in pressure was observed in a section of the force main line at the Bristol Quarry Landfill this week. The piping was isolated, removed, and a new pipe was ultimately fused to return that portion of the system to service. We are working with our engineers to prevent future similar occurrences. This week’s maintenance activities at the landfill included breaking down, cleaning, and rebuilding pumps, conducting regularly scheduled gas monitoring, and adding more soil to address settlement areas.
