Areas experiencing settlement at the Bristol Quarry Landfill were addressed this week by adding soil, grooming the area, and compacting the soil. Additionally, Bentonite seals have been installed to address small leaks identified through the Surface Emissions Monitoring (SEM) inspection process. Stormwater pump operations at the landfill have also been operating effectively during the recent uptick in rain from Tropical Storm Debby.
