This week at the Quarry Landfill, a force main break in the leachate collection system remains isolated as materials and parts for repair arrive onsite. The north end of the Landfill is still in service – with the exception of the force main leg. Meanwhile crews continued routine maintenance, including cleaning and rebuilding pumps, collecting readings and adjusting the system for maximum efficiency.
At the older 498 landfill, vegetation is recovering after recent rains.
