Installation of an improved leachate storage and treatment system is complete and became operationally active on June 30. Over 1.2 million gallons of leachate from the quarry landfill has been treated since the system became operational. The City of Bristol is hosting another Open House next week to provide updates on the progress at the quarry landfill to the public. The Open House will take place in the Bristol Council Chambers on Wednesday, July 12 from 6-7:30 p.m.
