Work continues on the Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS). Wellheads are being installed onto the upper and lower collectors of the SOMS and then connected to the landfill’s gas extraction system. All concrete work to secure the SOMS is complete. Placement of clay and installation of the liner is progressing. The SOMS is expected to be fully operational by June 14. (Next week) Drilling of the vertical dual-phase extraction wells is complete. Voluntary air sampling and monitoring by an independent third-party at the landfill was announced this week and has been initiated.
