The City of Bristol has completed installation of a newer, more efficient air monitoring system at the Quarry Landfill to ensure it receives the most accurate data possible. The new system is online and fully operational. The landfill’s older air-monitoring devices were decommissioned in September after their sensors reached their lifespan and began malfunctioning. The latest air monitoring report can be found here.
Despite the inclement weather this week, crews continued installing enhancements to the gas extraction system at the landfill.
