This week at the Bristol Quarry Landfill crews removed and replaced one of the dual phase extraction pumps to increase liquid removal from the site.
More than 20 loads of soil, totaling 360 tons, were also moved to address areas experiencing settlement issues at the landfill.
The Sidewall Odor Mitigation System (SOMS) is now working at near full capacity. Work to create SOMS efficiencies is now 90% complete on the west side of the landfill (up from 75% complete last week) and 90% complete on the east side of the landfill (the same as last week).
