The Bristol Virginia Fire Department successfully finished securing the landfill gas and dewatering pipe on the southeastern sidewall of the quarry landfill. Installation of the 12-inch header pipe for the expanded landfill gas collection system inside the quarry landfill is also complete. Crews are now connecting the lateral pipes off the 12-inch header to the remaining stainless-steel vertical wells. The landfill air sampling and monitoring is underway and reports are now publicly available on this website.
