Regular maintenance activities continued as scheduled at the Quarry Landfill this week. Crews also worked to troubleshoot a flow issue within the vacuum system to the north end gradient control cleanouts. After valving off the flow to assess the problem, the line was cleared of condensate. The City and its contractors are monitoring the vacuum system and assessing if modifications to the Landfill Gas Collection and Control System will be required going forward to ensure it is operating at peak efficiency.
